My hands were sweaty because my mini jet was about to fly over one of the most dangerous forests in the world. Let me introduce myself, my name is Astrid, John Astrid, and I am a world-famous archaeologist. I was on my way in the jet to a tropical island to study a monstrous active volcano. Suddenly luck deserted me. Both of my engines sputtered and stopped. “Sabotage.” I angrily muttered. I didn’t have any sworn enemies, but there were several rival archaeologists. My plane started to spiral down at an awkward angle! I yanked on the ejection button. It got stuck. I shouted into the speaker, “I’m going down! I’m going…” Suddenly the jet smashed into the ground. My head was conked against the control panel. The world went dark.
Do you like writing? This is one of the first books I wrote. The unique thing about books is that all books are different. Every writer has their own quality that makes their works unique! When you write a book, It’s almost as good as reading one (to me) besides you get to decide the characters fate, what happens, etc. Have you heard of J.R.R. Tolkien? In my opinion he’s the greatest writer. He wrote many great works, such as The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion (I’m still not sure how to spell that) And much, much more. Another great writer is C.S.Lewis. He wrote The Chronicles of Narnia, and other books. He was around the same time as Tolkien. Of course, we all know of Shakespeare, quite a famous writer. He wrote plays like, A Midsummer’s Night Dream, and Romeo and Juliette. Mark Twain, Adventures of Huckleberry Fin, I could go on and on, listing writers. This is a relatively small club, most likely it won’t get more then ten people. Probably less. But I hope you enjoy it. Donec occursum adventus tui, or, until I meet you.
